Skatenelson Shirts
The Skatenelson T-shirts are in the making. I talked to Andy Foster who owns Black Cat Skateshop today, and we are getting a silkscreen made so we can print multiple shirts. They will be white and will read “SkateNelson.org” with the logo below it. Or so I hope. Andy suggests making a large first batch, because the more shirts we make, the less each shirt costs. I personally think we should make a first set of 25 shirts. We will get each shirt for about $6, we can sell them for $10. Just throwing it out there. I need help paying for this, and if anyone thinks this is a bad fundraiser please stop me. Quick. — Colin
Put me down for 3 shirts. I’d suggest that there be a 2X price mark-up. That is, if it cost’s $6 to make, charge $12 for the shirt. Also, again, this may be a great fundraiser, but I think we should maybe until we hear back from RVCC. There’s definitely going to be a time to raise funds; right now we need to raise awareness. When the RVCC does their feasibility study, they are going to ask community members, people like YOUR neighbors, what they want at the community center. It’d be great if a whole lot of people said “SKATEPARK.” That can only happen if we get the word out and speak with people. Maybe some of us could hand out fliers at the dump next to the RVCC with info about skateparks and about skatenelson.org? — Tim
I am ready to get 3 also – will check back to see when you are ready for some moolah. As long as they aren’t $40 like the one I bought my daughter at the American Idol show at the JPJ. I am NOT making that up.

i was thinking of just Sk- and then the nelson symboll(Which ever color) and then the number 8 inside of it. And then possibly our plea on the back, that says what we are trying to accomplish. i know for certain it will be a great fundraiser here around school

We need to start printing pieces of paper that say in bold letters “skatenelson.org”. Those would get peoples attention. I’m in school right now, so maybe i can make some in a minute!
