I talked to Andy Foster who owns Black Cat Skateshop today, and we are getting a silkscreen made so we can print multiple shirts. They will be white and will read “SkateNelson.org” with the logo below it. Or so I hope.  Andy suggests making a large first batch, because the more shirts we make, the less each shirt costs. I personally think we should make a first set of 25 shirts. We will get each shirt for about $6, we can sell them for $10. Just throwing it out there. I need help paying for this, and if anyone thinks this is a bad fundraiser please stop me. Quick. — Colin

SkateNelson.org was getting hits before the site was finished being built. We have just 15 names with emails of people who have joined, but the enthusiasm in the comments is impressive, like:

“dude we need a park bad and im all for it just let me know how i can help.“

“I”m just happy to see this sight and many of the skaters dreams are coming along to being completed. Hope peeps see that this is a very noble cause.”

“I REALLY want this thing to happen!!!“

This is a great start. We all know there are more people out there who would like to see a park. We need them to join, too. Pass the word to non-skaters, as well. They might enjoy just hanging-out and watching skaters. Tell your neighbors. Tell your parents.Also, tell us all your good suggestions about this skatepark. We’ll get the ideas flowing. Suggest a site, a source of funding, type of park, designers, wood vs. concrete… whatever.
